Our Response to RoHS Directives

To safeguard human health and the environment, we obey RoHS regulations that control hazardous substances usages in electrical and electronic equipment, and formulate technical standards that strictly forbid our suppliers in using them.

All products manufactured by EtherWAN Systems, Inc. are compliant with the RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) of 8 June 2011.

Our Response to WEEE Directives

The European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive came into effect on 13th August 2005, and its recast Directive 2012/19/EU transposes into member state’s law and regulations. The Directive focuses on the precautionary prevention of the impact of electronic waste, and in addition, the reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery of such waste.

The WEEE Directive requires producers to mark electrical and electronic equipment put on the market after August 13, 2005 with a 'crossed-out wheeled bin' symbol. The products manufactured and shipped by EtherWAN Systems, Inc. all follow WEEE directives.

Our Response to REACH Regulation

REACH, which stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals, is the name for the European Union’s recent chemicals policy, contained in Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 which entered into force on June 1, 2007 (REACH Regulation). REACH places greater responsibility on industry to manage the risks that chemicals may pose to human health and the environment.

The products manufactured and shipped by EtherWAN Systems, Inc. are all in compliance with the applicable provisions of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament, and of the Council in December 2006 concerning the REACH on the restriction of the use of SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) in electronic components.

Our Response to ErP (Energy-related Product) Directives

The aim of ErP directive 2009/125/EC is to lower the energy consumption of products by means of environmentally friendly design ("Eco design"). For this reason, applicable standards have been developed for each product group applicable throughout the EU, where one of them is external power supplies.

In response to the ErP directive, external power adaptors carried by EthewrWAN Systems, Inc. are compliant with the energy efficiency levels stipulated by ErP.
